Default Trying to get my H&E started

I have an 88 Xjs 12 convertible and it wont start. Its because of dirty fuel from sitting all winter. I changed the fuel filter and it was just orange fluid coming out. It wont start and i was wondering if there is a fuel line I could take off close to the engine to pump out all the old gas. Where is the best place to pull the line? It was running fine before I stored it. Thanks,
Hunter

The main supply line is attached at the RH fuel pressure regulator.

I would remove the return line on the LH side, just under the air cleaner, and when the tank/filter etc are new, and fresh fuel in the tank, switch the ign ON and OFF numerous times. This will flush the rail as well. It will take a few applications, as the pump only runs for approx 2 seconds each application of teh ON position. Do not go to START to do this.

Of course you could jump the terminals in the fuel pump relay socket so the pump runs constantly with the ign ON, but for safety, I would do the cycle thing. At least you have some control over the fuel ejecting.

After that the stale fuel sitting in the inlet of each injector will be very minimal, and should flush thru into the combustion chambers and should not cause any issues. If there is any solid bits in that stale fuel , that could cause some concerns later.

That should get it going.
