Trying to swap Alternator
My dad's '84 has such a bad alternator that it runs in a deficit. Just to be clear, I think I see it in line with the A/C compressor at the very bottom of the engine. It seems pretty impossible to get to It from the top. Is it any easier if I jack it up and work at it from the bottom?
The compressor is right on top of the engine. I think you mean air injection pump.
I think if you remove the injection pump the alternator will come out fairly easily from the top
