Using regular fuel in six or double six
I just questioned why he made a thread with 2 pages of responses and ignored everyone's posts and went on to post a article as if it is the end-all on the matter. A article which, for the most part, said exactly what everyone here did.
The article also says this:
"If the car is sufficiently new and sophisticated, it may not suffer any ill effects, but all such skinflints should be ready to switch back to premium at the first sign of knock or other drivability woes."
Sufficiently sophisticated could be as simple as knock sensors, which retard the timing automatically instead of manually like in the old days....with the expected loss of efficiency....which sorta brings us back to post #1 of this thread
Cheers
