V-12 XJS Parts Car
A friend of mine has a 1985 Jaguar XJS V-12. He is going to sell it to me for $700. It is green with doe interior.
The good: Garage kept, 1 owner, very good condition, nearly no rust, 50k miles.
The bad: one of the harness malfunctioned and caught on fire. The fire was put out quickly and did only nearly no damage to items other than the harness.
I am seriously considering buying this car. But i am wondering, if i part it out. Will i make enough money to make it worth my while? If anybody is interested in buying parts from this car send me a message with a price. If I can get some emails with requests it may sway my decision even more.
Can anyone give me any insight on this. Thank you
Also, what are the items/parts on the car that are rare and cost a premium over other parts.

I went down to see the car today. It's in pretty good shape. If i decide to purchase it the price will be 700. The good news is a local scrap yard will pay 1000 for the engine
And the fog lamps....are in good condition, the lense are not cracked and they have black covers.
Any other XJS parts needed by anyone?

I just bought an '85 HE and I am hoping to get at least $9,500 or so once it is in fine shape. How about the headlights: quad? If so, I am interested in the chrome surrounds. Also, I may be interested in several other engine parts as well. Maybe the Ignition Amplifier?!?

awesome, is there a website that provides the info or is it from your own research? I'm looking to replace the door panels and the rear side panels (mine have no speakers and I want ones with speakers... Thanks for your help by the way, there are not many cars of my year around unfortunately...
