Hello everyone, I bought a XJS-C V12 1988 last November. I knew it had "no reverse" but other than that, the car is fine. I was about to get the transmission rebuilt when someone said to me that the problem could be fixed with a "Valve body rebuild". I have two questions for all you Jag experts out there:
1- Can this really be the cause?
2- Can the valve body be removed without removing the transmission?

Chevy T400 tranny. Valve body can be removed without pulling tranny. If rebuilding use Jag bands and Jag modulator. Dealer in 1993 wanted $5000 to rebuild. Pulled tranny myself and took to a local rebuilder and only cost $400. Pulling out 1 hr. and reinstalling 1 hr.
