Default V12 cooling problem, but not what you're expecting

My V12 is running way too cool, too long..The temp needle hasn't moved higher the quarter-way up the scale in ages. .....which means the heater isn't very effective. Brrrrr!

I think my thermostats must be stuck open.

Anyhow, I had to chuckle a bit.

Cheers
DD

Can confirm. This works. Temp solution is a square of cardboard covering part of the rad.

I’m in the same boat with Doug. Tomorrow is new Tstats and wiper transplant day.

In cold temps my gage moves up maybe 1/4 from bottom to N and heater is hot as Hell. I also have new stats. The old stats were stuck open and would overheat.
