Default V12 TPS adjustment tidbit

I'm tinkering with TPSs again. More on that in a different post, later.

As most of us probably know, adjusting the TPS is tricky because it always wants to move a tiny bit as you tighten the screws. Frustrating as hell.

I wondered if hold-down nuts might work better? I cut the heads off the screws, thus turning them into little studs. I then found some "Keps" (sometimes called "K-Lock") nuts. These have an integrated toothed washer installed such that the washer remains stationary as the nut is being turned

It works ! The teeth of the washer grip the TPS . As you tighten the nuts the TPS stays exactly where you set it!

Cheers
DD

I ran into the same thing with the red TPS. I used long Allen head bolts with star washers and fixed the movement also.

The European engineer feels a need to comment on this: M5 standard pitch is 0.8, so that's much more likely.
