I have a '88 XJS with inoperable passive restraints. These cars were equipped when new with emergency shoulder harness tabs that fit into the track for the shoulder harness (belt). Just purchased the car and the tabs are missing. Does anyone have or ;know where to get these tabs? Jaguar does not have them and parts to fix problem are made from unobtainium apparently.

 

The part number for the Emergency Tongue Kit is BCC7959. You might try to call some salvage yards and ask if they have 1988/89 XJ-S with the tongues hidden in the cubby still in the box.

Thanks for the tip! found the tabs at a yard in San Luis Obispo, Ca. They in shipment as we speak.
