Today I discovered this gizmo in the boot, stuffed up above the right rear fender well.

I pulled it down for a photo, then put it back.

What is this thing?

I thinks thats the interval meter that turns on the oxygen sensor light every 30k (?) miles. Pushing the white button resets it

In case you're in doubt, look for a part number...

 

its a kanuter valve, its main function is to make the kanutes go to either the left or right hand HVAC ducts under the dash. Otherwise they go the wrong way and you end up with left handed kanuters coming out the right and rights out of the left

 

Thanks for my first big grin on the forum for 2010,just make sure the right hand kanuters are blue and the left are black and blue.
