What I Have been Looking for..
I had mentioned in my introduction to the site.
This would be my acknowledgement to my Volvo Friends.
http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/for...17100&start=42
And if I may add another link to how much fun I have had in this last summer.
The history of this wagon, and a short video.
If I could edit the title of this thread, it would make sense.
Sorry.
I had meant looking for. I was a bit exited and am not a proficient typist.(nor proofreader)

I had a chance to drive by the seller of the '95 XJS. I had spoke to him previously but noticed he still has it.
It needs rear radial arms to make it drivable. If I get it for the price I am thinking, that will not be a problem.
The engine runs cleanly. The body exterior shows some surface rust.
Undercarriage and uni-body are a corrosion concern.
I have access to tools, (welding, etc...) and am not afraid to take on the project.
If anyone has a suggestion, please chime in.
Thanks for listening.

Well, I am assuming that if you live in Michigan you are familiar with rust issues on cars. My thought would be to go into it with as much knowledge you can about this car. I would take the time to really check the car over: pull carpets back, put car up on ramps etc and check out as much as you can before buying the car. IMO you should be able to buy car at a price level that worse case scenario you can use as a parts car if needed.
The more you know about the rust and overall condition of this car the better to negotiate an accurate purchase price. I would assume that whatever you are seeing is 50% or so of what is really going on with the car.
Good luck

I had let that one go.
There is still an interest in an XJS at the right time, place, price...
In the mean time, I have a stock of parts to make the Turbo Wagon happy.
I will be back.
