What If...
I agree. That does a great job of showing the curve of the wider fender panels.

Either of the options you listed will be a huge improvement over the stock Turbo 400 that you have now. However, if you are going to spend that much money, why not change over to a 5 or 6-speed manual transmission?
I'm curious about how they managed that without also modifying/relocating the rear subframe rails, which are pretty much flush with the inner wheel well, if I remember correctly. Is there a reference to it in Allan Scott's book?
***EDIT***
Never mind. I found it on pages 46 & 47.

All joking aside, The photo you posted may not be my pick as the ideal model to use as a ute, but, the craftsmanship was very evident. I've seen one or two photos of well executed XJS ute conversions over the years, and, because of the flying buttresses, they actually present as a half decent looking ute.
Extremely silly but it looks like a huge amount of work has gone in to it. I like the rear treatment where the back window is removed completely and the cross over spoiler fitted, neat job.
Sorry for delay

I do, however, like the front and rear bumperette treatment, and have just about settled on doing something similar, instead of my original plan to weld two sets of chrome bumper blades together in order to create a slim, all-metal, horizontal bumper.

Or, in keeping with my semi-competition theme for the car, I may do something like the jacking points Shelby put at the front and rear of the 427 SC Cobras. Those should be fairly cheap, and easy to source from any Cobra kit car manufacturer.
