Default What is this On/Off switch?

Checking fuses in under the glove box compartment, I noticed what appears to be a small switch. See on the right hand side in the picture below, to the right of the fuses. It appears to be On/Off switch. It is so small that I did not even notice it was there until today.

What is the switch for and what does it do? Right now it is in "Off" position. Should it be "On"?

Not Jaguar installed. It's some sort of add-on. Perhaps for an alarm system or some other accessory.

Cheers

Ejection seat switch?

NAH

Probably a fuel pump kill switch for when parked in suspect areas. BUT, its in the OFF position now, so flick it and see what happens.

Ejection switch? Hmmm... Well, it was built in England after all. Maybe this Jag was in the running to be in a James Bond movie at some point?

It is dark here already. Will test it tomorrow...

It might be for the 2nd fan. A previous owner installed one in my XJS however it is near the steering wheel (LHD).
