As for me. Why not!!! Great stuff. well known manufacturer.

I've a pair of older units, NOS in my bits shed. One of the projects I never got to do,. Not OEM for my car, But, a quality product and period correct. Did not realize how pricey they are!!!

Not sure if the hoes are predrilled in my bumper bar. but, at one time, I could drill them.
The bar is alloy But, the years have taken their toll. No longer confidant as to my ability to exert while on my back. And getting off the floor is a challenge, for sure.

The fog lights on my 96 mount from the top down, not from the bottom up. You may want to see how you have to mount them before buying. Also the Hella 550s are rather large. I think they are 7 & 1/2 inches wide verses 6 inches wide for my stock lights. If you get them you could paint the covers black and glue a small chrome leaper (Ebay) to them for a nice look.

You just turn them the other way up!

What about these? These seem fairly close to stock OEM size, will they work?

Sure they will all work. they just won't be direct replacement. The size will be a little different and you'll most likely have to change the ends on the wires or install your own connectors completely.

Hi Karl

Any Fog Lights with a Single Stem fixing should bolt straight on 'A single stem fixing' being a Threaded Stem with a Nut and Washer (which most Stock Fog Lights have) though closer to the OEM 'Look' the better (ie Hella)

You Shouldn't have to drill any holes, as under the Front Bumper, there should be a couple of OEM Spotlight Brackets already in Place, as most if not all XJS's would have them

The Spotlights then hang upside down, with the Single Stem Fixing (at the top) bolted through those brackets

See Photo:

Fog Light and Fog Light Bracket (The Foglights hang upside down) with the Single Stem Fixing bolted up through that Bracket as in the Photo
