Default window switch bezel attachment to console

Good evening,

My window/top switch on my '96 is loose/not firmly attached to console. Can't see how it is supposed to clip in. Is there a separate clip for the bezel or is the 3 switch bezel supposed to have clips molded in that perhaps have broken off?

thanks, Mitch

The 4 clips should hold it in. I have same problem with mind. If you look close you will see that one of more of the four clips are broken.

It has plastic lugs/clips on the bottom of the bezel, same as on the speed control and cigar lighter. They break very easily.... Pauls Jag has some in stock. Hard to find the cigar ones though.

Mitch,

New ones still available from your local Jaguar dealer about $20. However, the design is such that you really have to fit them once and then never try and take them out again. This means you really need to remove centre box or else ski slope to get to window and hood switches.

However, the Paul's Jaguar ones claim to be a different design which is easier to fit and remove. See here:

Fesi, I had the same problem, you can't really see where they all broke off until you get the new one, the clips are very small. I got mine from Terry's, about $30, works good, but I had to really push it in, I don't think I should take it out ever, it might break.
