Hi guys,
I have posted before about my wipers not working. I cleaned the motor and now they do everything BUT park automatically. Previously I have read on here that its a problem within the stalk. However its riveted together. I now have a replacement stalk which I have opened.
And here's a mention of wiper switch repair taken from it:
Took the old [wiper switch] apart. It has a flat plastic card with indentations in it. In the indentations are little pieces of copper. As the card moves in and out, the little pieces of copper are supposed to make and break connections as necessary. Trouble is, they are not anchored in any way and fall out. A few drops of crazy glue on the copper pieces and glued the thing together. Worked fine.

What should I do to fix this issue internally???
Check the alignment of the operating arm beyond the pivot. I had one needed repair recently, the plastic arm had bent slightly and the contacts no longer aligned with the stalk detents.
I had planned on heating slightly in order to straighten it but found it "remembered" it's position with just the application of some moderate heat.
