Cut it off and buy a new one. Or, get a radiator hose removal tool. It looks like a metal question mark with a handle. You hook it in between the hose and the outlet pipe to break free the hose. Most big chains (autozone, etc) sell them.

What I mint was, is there an easier way to get to it But I found an easier way took less than 5 minutes to get it off and about the same to put new on.
Thanks anyway

Do tell!

I don't think I've ever done it an less than an hour, without swearing, and without being drenched in anti-freeze!

Cheers

From the top I wedged a 30 inch long screwdriver between the radiator flange that the hose goes on and the metal part of the car that is right up against it, made enough clearance to easily take hose off and put back on and also clamp.Had no problem very quick, also line clamp screw up with the hole that is in the bottom metal piece that runs under rad and run 3 extensions thru the hole up to the clamp screw and use ratchet.

What I do for hoses is I have a slim pick and I work that inbetween the hose and the nipple and that breaks the bond between the rubber an the metal. I don't have to go all the way around, but it breaks the seal enough that I can twist and pull a hose off much easier.

To install, I have a small tube of water based sex lube (safe for rubber) and give the inside of the hose a thin coat. The hose will slip onto the radiator nipple much easier this way, and it won't harm the rubber.

For the lower radiator hose on a V12 where there is no space to get any leverage it make a huge difference in how difficult it is to get the hose on - it also reduces the number of outbreaks of Tourette's syndrome

Good tip !

The clamp is where I struggle. I don't think I've ever noticed the hole!

Ahhhh. Everything makes sense now. Lots of V12 owners behave strangely, I've noticed. Now we have a diagnosis !

Cheers

The bottom rad hose is where I use the long screw driver as a wedge. Also take the air filter hinged box off and take hose off from rad from the top reaching down.
