I don't know about the cost. A few guys in the UK have done it, particularly with the rare Getrag 290 manual gearbox that was available in the UK on that setup.

Reliability shouldn't be an issue as he's just taken the supercharged engine and GL480E gearbox out of an XJR-6.

Even with the autobox, it will have transformed the performance of the 4 litre XJS!
