i recently had an overheating occurrence on the freeway which occurred after coolant was seen coming from the right front of my engine, through the hood and up to the windshield. The quickest I could safely stop was about 2 mins later. Lots of airflow over the engine so I don’t think anything catastrophic has occurred. I immediately shut the car off.
when attempting to restart the vehicle the next day, to diagnose coolant leak, it won’t crank at all. The relay is ticking over just fine, and lots of power from the battery.

Had it on the hoist, starter motor is clicking and the gear is engaging on the flywheel but not able to spin it.

I checked and the engine turns over freely.

What else should I be checking? Or could leaking coolant fry my starter? Grounds?

no problems starting prior to overheating on freeway.
