Hi,eventually found the alarm ecu thanks to replies to previous thread, i believe this is faulty, i have sourced a replacement however am unsure what to do with the remote alarm fob i assume it will require some sort of programming once installed, can anyone advise me.

 

Where was it. ? To program fobs when the alarm is reattached it should beep. At each beep press the fob. If you have more than 1 fob press each one at a beep (5 beeps). for the remaining beeps press any of them.

 

le man man, Just so you will know the ECU is the engine control unit. The security system has a 'module' as do several other systems in these cars, unfortunately. Modules indeed contain computer chips . This is my understanding anyway. A niggling point admittedly.
