Default xjs compressor rear seals

Help! For month's I searched for an ac compressor for my 94 XJS V12 (long story), finally found one (90% correct, wrong pulley). Installed, connected, but it will not seal at the hose/compressor connections. Not with the provided seals or with some bought from a local parts house. I can only think the seals must be wrong size or type, but most places locally don't sell specific compressor seals/orings for old jags. After months of waiting, I am now stumped by two seals (or could it be something else). Thanks, Don

Any reputable aircon shop should be able to supply you with fittings that will fit the new compressor properly and also that will screw up your hose properly. These fittings will both screw into the compressor and into the hoses. These cars came from the factory with Sanden aircon compressors and I am 100% sure that fittings are available.

these seals can still be bought from jaguar

however, i don't think this is your issue

there is a known problem with the single bolt fixing for these two hoses, you tighten the plate over the hose connections with the single bolt, the plate distorts and tilts the pipes in the holes allowing gas past the seals

the fix is to use a second plate, as the bolt is long enough or make a thicker plate if you don't have a second one, this makes the single bolt much more stable and allows the pipe ends to stay square in the holes

ps, just read its for a '94 car, possibly a different mount to the know fault for the above fix???
