xjs engine size
I'm looking at an 85 XJS V-12 that is advertised as a 6.0L. I'm thinking that the only engine available was the 5.3L HE. Could it have a 6.0 and how would I tell.

Bottom line first: It's 99.99999 percent a 5.3 litre engine.
Likely somebody mistook the 85 for a 95 when using an automated program to prepare his ad copy and didn't check afterwards. The 95 DID have the 6 litre engine.
6 litre engines didn't legitimately make it Stateside until 1993.
