I have a last of the line XJS facelift whose VIN is later than 188105 at which point the Jaguar part number changes from CCC2913 to MNA3337AA

Does anyone know what the difference is ? I cannot find any details anywhere detailing a difference!

VIN 188105 is the changepoint to outboard discs, so it's a different hub carrier, bearings etc.

Oops - got my numbers wrong , the changeover from CCC2913 to MNA3337AA is at VIN number 198335, both have the outboard disc but this suggests there is something else that changed for the last couple of years of the facelift run.

 

198335 is the changepoint of the Brake system from the complex Teves Mk III.

From the perspective of the change to rear hub carrier and bearings, it changed to a wider ventilated rear disc on the 4 litre from the original solid disc.
