Hi everyone,

I need some help please. I have a 1992 (facelift) xjs 4.0l convertible.

I have the switches for the front and rear fogs on the left hand side of the steering wheel.

Both sets of fog lights work but it is the switch that I am confused about.

Normally all the switches glow a green colour when the headlights are on and when depressed the colour of the switch changes to yellow.

This is true for every switch but for the front fogs.

The front fog switch does not illuminate at all when the headlights are on but when you depress the switch the fog lights illuminate and the switch then glows green.

I also get the green front fog active light appearing on the dashboard display.

Is this normal behaviour for that switch ?

I finally got some pics of my foglight switches.

As expected, they are illuminated when the sidelights are on. The front foglight switch then illuminates green when the front fogs are on. And the rear foglight switch glows yellow when the rear fogs are on.
