Default Xjs fuel relay 4.0

Hello I just bought an old 1993 xjs and I’m trying to find the relay for fuel (pump) was told by last owner that it was going and need replacement. Now can’t get it started. Please help I’m hoping to slowly restore this beautiful machine. Thank you

The 1993 Electrical guide shows it to be in the right rear components location.
Fuel pump relay silver relay, yellow base.

You need to download an electrical guide if you plan on repairing the car yourself.

The .pdf is too large to upload to this post. (5.3mb)

Thank you very much I looked in the back compartment in the trunk where the cruise control little black box and antenna are. I couldn’t locate anything that looked like a relay? Thank you again tho.

zsansossio,

Remove the carpet trim panel on the right hand side of the boot. Now shine a torch down the recess looking towards the front of the car, just inside of the wheelarch. You'll see the relay there.

Good luck

Yep, right side above wheel arch. You have to stick your head in and twist it almost too far to see it up in there. Almost makes you wish there was a electrical block back there or something smh 🙄
