I just aquired an '85 European market XJS that needs a complete interior restoration. I found a dismantler that has a complete '94 XJS interior but he's not sure it will fit in my '85. Does anyone out there know what years interiors will work in an '85?

 

It will not be a direct swap. The seat runners are closer together on the facelifts. The trim is not fixed in exactly the same way. It is do-able, but not without some welding and fettling and fabricating of fixings.

The seat runners were changed in about 1987, when the 'Recaro' look front seats were introduced, but all the other trim remained the same. The full facelift cars, with the revised rear lights etc, were introduced about 1991/2, and ther were lots of trim changes..
