Default xjs mechanic needed

Hi, I have interviewed 3 potential European and Vintage car experts in my area and each one looked as though they wanted to drop a clanger ( for you Brits out there ! ) Can anyone suggest a less grimaced face guy within the New York Westchester/lower CT area ?
Many thanks !

I have used Wehrmann Engineering on my V12 XKE recently and they did a tremendous job.

One <slight> problem however, they are in Hauppauge on Long Island. My car is ridiculously original and kid-glove needed (breathing on it makes my groan), and he did some fairly invasive cooling work (bonnet off stuff) and well as other maintenance prior to me taking delivery, that was top notch.

Hope that helps, but might be worth a call and a trip.

Jeff

not sure he's the best value out there anymore. another member had a bit of an issue with pricing parts.

but raj at XJR auto is a v12 expert. i think he prefers working on them.

only problem for you is they are in manhattan. not sure if that's out of your distance range.

what type of car by the way?

A little bit north of westchester is Jeff Palmero of International Motor Car Repair in Hopewell Junction, NY. He is about 60 minutes from westchester. I met with him today and he seems like a reasonable person to have work on your car.

What kind of repairs are you wanting done? You might not need a Jaguar whiz-bang guy at all. A lot of XJS repairs a fairly generic, especially the 6 cylinder cars.

Cheers
