Default XJS wiring

Hi there.
Just brought an XJS off Trademe and need some wiring diagrams for it. Its had a rat under the dash and engine bay eating a bit of the wiring. Especially need some info on the Lucas ignition amplifier unit. Its had the wires chewed off it! Also need wiring to have color coding if possible.

Thanks in advance

Hello Chop

2 work in progresses very close together, I am impressed - welcome to the forum.

Usually the link to: JagRepair.com is the default website to get the wiring diagrams and other stuff. But noticed that the XJS page is under construction.
Not sure how long it has been under construction or when it is back, so keep a eye out for it

I also purchased these 2 books to help me out for the wiring and other things. Prices range from not bad to bloody expensive, but i got both these books very nicely priced. Just had to shop around a bit

I like the dark green book, my wife likes the light green one. The light green one will also help with your XJ6

Again - welcome to the forum

Cheers

Thanks Steve.

I have the Haynes manual on order. As long as it has the wiring colour coding it should be ok. Most of the wiring has been repaired by an auto electrician before I got it but he has pulled the whole dashboard apart to do it. Just the ignition amplifier and some stuff in the dash to sort out then sounds like I have a starter motor to repair/replace.

Well im back to sea for a couple of months now so will get back into it when I get back.

Thanks
Chop

I have both the books, and also a repair manual on my computer in PDF Format. The computer one can be found reasonable and download was easy, it also allows you to enlarge for better view (old eye like mine), and print out certain sections, and print enlargements. I found printing sections is helpful when working under the car so you don't need the book, I also have it on my tblet
