"R" Badge with Painted Calipers
Those who are thinking of painting their calipers and was worried about painting over the "R" badge, you can actually take off the R Plate and install it back on afterwards. I looked for the "R" caliper decal and no one carried them that I could find. Found someone who wouldspecially make itbut would cost $40 so I did it this way. I had it painted the same time installing my aftermarket wheels. This is what it would look like with the stock R Plate.

very nice....sexy but classy, just like i like my women :P i normally would have considered chrome but the brushed satin finish matches the grills and its an R ( why i ended up not chroming mine! )....how much for the wheels & tires if you dont mind and what size are they?
I was already talking about doing the the same thing... save the $5k from the sentas or $1800 from chrome sabres and put that towards custom wheels and not look like everyone else!

Thanks guys. The wheels are brushed aluminum with chrome lip. I really like polished wheels but thought the brush aluminum will match the side gill and window trim alittle better. I really wanted the Klass KF300 but my cheapa$$ side kicked in and got these instead...lol. I paid $4200 including tires. The Klass was around $2K more. I do think the Klass 5 star will give it a more agressive look which I like but I wanted to keep wheels/tiresunder $5K.The wheels are 20x9F and 20x10R. I also was debating on getting the Senta wheels but at the end told my dealer to find me one with just the base wheels and go aftermarket. I do like the Senta wheels though.I also purchase new sets of TPMS sensors which was around $300 including thevalve stem.I was alittle concerned ifthe TPMS will fit the new wheels and will the car read the new sensors but FactoryJaguarTech assured the car will pick up the new sensors without a trip to the dealer and it did. So total with everything was $4500.I'm planning to use the stock wheels during winter although it will most likely not see much of winter. Here's what the rear lip looks like:

Nope, it doesnt want to let me post a pic? Anyway, while I was in London getting ripped off severly for everything. I took a ride to Slough to meet up with Paul Busby again at Paramount Performance. Areally first class operation. Wonderful premises with workshop and rolling road etc. Upstairs was a kind of car lovers private club. Plasma TV's, WIFI, drinks, whatever you needed. After Paul and I went to lunch, one of the technichions there took me on a test drive on a 07 XJR coupe that had just had the Racing cats, SC pulley and remap of the ECU. It was running 506 BHP on the Dyno and it certainly showed on the streets. This thing went like a Banshee.
I had always wondered why even after turning off the traction control, my car would always still go in to second gear without me using the paddles if I was giving it a little bit of stick, itseems that you have to actually hold down the off button for the Traction control for a few seconds to turn it right off. After thgis was done on the test car, the thing screamed away from the lightslike no Jaguar I have ever been in. I know now where my ECU is and how to remove it and it is being Fedexed to them early next week. How anyone lives in England these days is beyond me.

RE: "R" Badge with Painted Calipers
Sweet.....thanks for the update. Remember holding down the traction control on the C5 to turn off the active handling...lol. I'll have to try that in the Jag. I wonder if they did anything to that SL55 in the video....it's showing 486.3 HP when stock should be 493HP. That must be RWHP dyno numbers. BTW....did they say anything about their air induction kit that they were testing a few months ago? Just curious how that was coming along.
Looks like don't bold the [img]. Here's what your pic looks......car looks great! Nice house too. I'll email you the exact photo link.

The Air Induction system is a few weeks away apparantly. Just ironing out some kinks in the actual tubing for better airflow. Paul is going to send me one as soon as they are done to test it. Im hoping they will be coming overfor the Winter Park Concouse De Elegance show in October to exhibit theirproducts. Remapping in the UK is huge now as the price of gas is so high. My brother is taking his Diesel RangeRover in to be tuned. They say they can get another 50bhp and 4 miles a gallon out of it. Everyone is driving Diesles in the UK now.
