Angry 07 XK Started then died HELP!

Ok Guys,
Hopped in this morning to head to work. Pushed button fired up like normal and immediately died. Pushed button again and engine turns over, but no start! Tried again....nothing. Opened door and let everything reset.....fired right up. No lights on at all. I stopped and started a few more times and all is well. Drove to work with no problems.
Thoughts??

Disconnect your battery and charge it with a real charger (not maintainer or trickle) for 24 hours. Since you're close, maybe do a Hard Reset also.
Electrical gremlins show up in many different ways.

Mine is a daily driver. Never had a battery issue. The engine turned over just wouldn't start. Like a lack of gas....very weird. I will try a reset but so far all is well. i cant duplicate it. I have noticed a slight stumble off the line on occasion.

Try an Italian tune-up before you do anything else. It's cheap and easy and fun, unless you get a ticket! It just might fix your problem.

I do this on every freeway On-ramp, if I can dependent upon traffic. There are several near me that are a quarter mile or longer.

Lol, I got tailed then pulled over with a warning of excessive acceleration once... then I proceeded to give a tour of the car. We all parted with smiles.

Pretty much agree it doesn't work with DI engines. A better way to keep the valves clean it to put in an oil catch can on the PCV system.

So far, it hasn't happened again. With the lack of traffic due to the Coronavirus traffic is sparse...;;;Did a 120 mph run on the interstate all the way to work. 12 miles

120?? I hope you left in in fourth gear, at least for awhile.

Really can’t offer up much on the issue, but have to ask, where is home for you? Reading your sig I bet you know where T-town is, it’s also where I park my 08 XK.

If you have not use the before, The Auto Shop, on 8th is top notch, they have been in business for 40 years. I have only used them for remote programming but their Jaguar specialist explained a lot about my car I did not know.

Yep...i got them to calibrate my seats when i bought mine. The Jaguar dealer refused to work on mine....sad. They said they no longer have the software or a tech that knows anything about cars. They recommended The Auto Shop.!

I'm curious how old your fuel filter is?

It is a maintenance item on time/miles.
