Default 08 XKR vert on the cheap. Is this a Houston car?

Saw this local post. I'm not chasing it. Wondering aloud if it's a hurricane car.

Looks like a great deal. Wonder what they mean by water damaged? Not much detail about that.

Hmmm cant see the link

Do you have the VIN by any chance, might be able to see service history or if any recent service actions were done there...

If its a convertible - hopefully it was flooded, but have to definitely check the auxiliary junction box in the back seat - have seen many problems with these and corrosion, without being in a hurricane or flooding...
Of course you'll be checking everything else as well...

yep, tried to google the description - 2008 Jaguar XK Convert. Repairable Water Damage - says page cant be displayed. Link below is what I found. There is a VIN, so I will try checking that, assuming its the VIN of the XK you're looking at...

Yep - this vehicle was sold by Jaguar of Southwest Houston, but not sure if the owner moved to ND, but since its listed as " repairable water damage " must have been in Houston when hurricane came through.

I've tried to google that company, and the website doesn't come up - strange.

Try Repairableautos.com. That's their online name. That one's a beauty. It's heartbreaking really.

sometimes I wish copy and paste would work as it should......

Anyhow - see attached, this is from DDW, so its definitely been sold in Houston.

The last warranty claim I can see was done in March 2012 for A/C Drain. I can see who the service writer and tech was, which I know them both quite well as I was on the same team while working at this dealer. Only other option to confirm this vehicle was still there during the hurricane would be to contact the dealer and speak to Service Advisor. If you want to go that route, you can PM for the info.

Headlamps fogged up and signs of sitting water everywhere on the interior and engine bay. Pretty cool that the nav and odometer lit up. I bet it smells wonderful inside.

Someone just picked up a Houston Flood X100 and is documenting it:

I’m not that brave.

That price...

I hope that is negotiable!

Negotiable by a lot.

You could get a nice decent well kept one with driver miles for that price.
