Default 09 XKR Portfolio - New J-Gate Cover

I'm finally getting a 09 XKR Portfolio! Got a great deal on it, but it needs a few cosmetic fixes. Specifically, I'm looking for a replacement for a scratched J-gate cover. Not the outer chrome surround, but the black and chrome center cover that has the "PRNDS".

Any ideas on where I might find one? My searches haven't found on yet. Pic attached (interior needs some detailing as well).

Thanks and Cheers!

On my 08 Jaguar replaced it twice on a no charge basis. If your 09 is still under or just off warranty it is worth a shot at getting Jaguar to replace it. Go to your local dealer.

+1 on getting this replaced under warranty if you can.

As you can see from the Parts Catalogue, the plastic cover isn't available separately. It's part of the selector assembly (Gearshift Hand Lever - item 2) and could be an exorbitant price.

Ok. I thought that might be the case. I'll definitely go see what my dealership can do with my CPO warranty. If not, perhaps a salvage piece or refinishing.

Good luck on the CPO warranty. My dealer wouldn't even cover a bad axle!

Hardest part to remove to replace the J-Gate cover will be the gear shift knob. It is sealed with a red locktight. You will have to heat up the gear shift knob and stem to get it off.

Hopefully you can get the Jaguar Dealer to do it for you.
