Default Removed Mud Flaps

So I've wondered about this since I bought the car. They seemed extra and disrupted the lines some. But I rarely mess with a car's body work.

Well I'm glad I removed them. They make the fenders appear to have more room than they do which means wheels look less aggressive.

Here are some before and after:

Interesting mod.

But I like the mud flaps! Of all mudflap designs I've ever seen, these are probably the least intrusive ones.

After driving a sanded mountain pass last March, the sheet metal inside my wheel wells were stripped down to bare metal. Didn't notice cause my car is silver...

I bought the flaps to help prevent that damage from happening again... (That I am aware of, they only came with the car on 20" wheels.)

Default Smooth

Nice Mod Evoking.

I agree, looks much smoother without plus the thing that annoyed me was the plastic always looks a little discolored, this deletes the need for back to black or other plastic dressings.

Vince has a point but I still noticed chunks of burnt rubber (oops) and other wear and tear behind the back wheels even when I still had them on, so this style flap actually adds only minimal if any protection.

If you still have the mud flaps, I was wondering if there is a way to mod them to fit the front wheel wells. I'd like to find something for the front wheels as they have kicked up a lot of road rash on the side of mine.

+1

Front protection would be nice. The front is where all the damage happens on these cars. There should be an after market product. I'm going to look into adapting them to the front.

These mudguards were a "stand alone" option not related to wheel size. In my opinion they are very useful in protecting the paint from road debris.
