2007 XK Conv - Passenger Seat Not Moving

Hi -
Any thoughts on how to try to fix a passenger seat that is not moving at all (none of the controls on the door are working) without taking it to the dealer?

Might the hard reboot (disconnect the battery, touch cables together) that I've read about elsewhere on the forum be a solution? Any risk to doing so?

CONDITION SUMMARY:

FRONT SEAT WILL NOT MOVE IN RESPONSE TO CONTROLS
Situation:
A customer may report a concern of no movement of the driver or passenger front seat, in any direction. A seat module ignoring the "wake-up" request may be the cause.

Action:
Should this concern be verified, refer to the Repair Procedure detailed in this bulletin to reconfigure the Driver Seat Module (DSM) and the Passenger Seat Module (PSM) using the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS).
