I have a 2007 Jaguar XK convertible and on hot days the convertible top will refuse to go down. It's NOT the luggage cover. The top will go down if I give it a bit of a push. It will refuse to go back up on hot days. The hard tonneau cover will rise but the top will only come up a bit unless I give it a tug and then it works. On pleasant days it functions perfectly. Is there some fluid that must be topped up or is the convertible motor kaput?

 

I'm desperate for any information that anyone can give me... Please let me know.

 

I'm pretty sure it's an hydraulic system -- sounds like a trip to the service bay is in order.
