I recently replaced the battery in my 2007 XK convertible and reset all the functions which are working well except one.
When selecting Navigation from the home touch screen I can get to the caution screen but the buttons to continue are non responsive.
I've loaded and locked the disc drive in the trunk and left the car running for 20 minutes with no result. Just stays on the same caution screen. It appears the nav disk will not load.
I'm starting to think that the disc drive is bad. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

 

Start the car and remove the DVD. Shut the car off. Restart the car without the DVD. Go to NAV screen. Insert DVD. You don't have to "lock" it to work. Hope it works!

You could try discharging the electrical system by disconnecting the Positive battery cable and holding the clamp against the Negative post for a few seconds and then reinstalling it. You'll have to reset your windows and top and maybe the stereo and seat presets, but it may fix your malady. Worth a shot anyway.
