Battery Drain test on 2009 XK
I fond an excellent diagnostic you tube video on battery drain testing the above. He didn't find anything wrong in this video but it does provide amperage / voltage data over a period of time when the vehicle is shut down. In this case, he replaced the battery and the problem was solved supposedly. Very good video though. I want the meter he is using.

2007 XK - No Power
Wow! That is an extensive amount of battery drain testing information and research on what appears to be quite a common problem on Jaguars. I saved all the pdf files. In my case, I had a run into my battery being dead on my 2007 6 months ago. And I learned on this site that I needed to make sure the door locks were activated and the importance of having a trickle charger on at all times, since I only drive the car every once in awhile. I did take the charger off while in my garage for a week or two with the top down. I was in & out of the car a half a dozen times or so during his period working on my top... I mostly locked the doors I think, but apparently not enough as the battery was dead not even two weeks later. So I need to load test / confirm my AGM 12/20 stamped battery is still good, and then decide on whether to bother with all this testing. Your article on how to charge / bring back to life an AGM battery is worth knowing & trying as well.

2007 - Electrical Power Loss
As a further follow-up to my at first completely dead car, I charged my Super Start 850 CCA amp AGM PLatinum for 3-4 days, had 12.4 volts on it and had it checked out under load as a good battery with a prefessional digital load test meter. Same result with a cheap Harbor Freight hand held 100 amp load tester I have. Put it in and had accesory power like the test battery I tried, but everythging goes dark when hitting the start button. Tried it with the key FOB in the emergency start slot and same deal. Tried it with a jumper on it, same deal. I still think it might be the batteery so I might try a new one just to see. Otherwise I am thinking maybe an starter shorted or ??.

You still haven't tested your rear seat fuse box?Cause your car sounds like it's getting power. The security system is not gone let you power your car to turn it on and will shut everything off which it sounds like it's doing. If you see it's power coming from the battery where your car haven't completely locked you out and the key fob is still working to unlock your doors, then IT'S NOT THE BATTERY!I think the guy have me blocked or else he would've said something about checking it by now🤔but oh well, that would suck if he finds out later on that this would be the case when he could've found out sooner by reading my comment

I double checked the voltage w/o it hooked up and it is actually 12.65 volts. I talked to a guy / company that only does batteries. According to him, AGM's must be at 12.66 volts which mine is certainly close enough. He has a better tester which tests to a much deeper draw and does not trust the digital meters at places like O-Reilly or my cheap Harbor Freight model. He stated that with the battery having dropped so low (below 10 volts) perhaps multiple times, that it could still be the battery. I know others think it is not the battery but I am not convinced yet. If it checks out this last time, I will check the fuse box, see what the voltage drop is, the current...
