Default dead battery, top down, can't get to battery.

Jag XK* 2007 convertible, in garage, top down.
Battery discharged, car won’t start.
With the top down, can’t get to the compartment in rear to get to the connection point on the battery.
Dealer closed _ Labor Day
Is there any way to manually raise the top?

Thanks

Hal

Look in your OM as it will show you where to hook up jumpers in your trunk.

There's about a dozen or so threads about the same problem, look at them. Basically you'll need to find another electrical point that's connected to the battery and charge it through that. I'm pretty sure there's a positive post inside the drivers rear quarter for this purpose. Should be discussed in your owners manual.

Here is the section of the owners manual (starting on page 153) that describes how to close the convertible top manually.

You can do this if you prefer to just drop in a new battery.
