Default 2007 XKR front wing compatible with 2009?

Apologies if this is a dumb question…

Whilst the difference between my 2007 front wing and that of the 2012 face-lifted front wing appears obvious, I’m struggling to differentiate between 2007 & 2009.

The 2009 lights and front bumper received a facelift, but will the 2009 wing fit my 2007?

Fixings the same type/place etc…?

I need a replacement due to some bstd hitting my passenger side, while I was viewing a house.

Tried the paintless dent repair option, but the seam started to split just above the tyre and the mechanic gave up for fear of damaging it further.

£800 from a scrappy seems a little excessive.

Ta!

For non-Brits:
"Wing" means "fender".

You're in the UK, so your 2007 is a 4.2L and the 2009 is a 5.0L. Although the front bumpers are different, I'm pretty sure that the fenders (wings) are the same.

You can confirm that by checking with a local body shop or comparing the part numbers from an online Jaguar dealer.

a proper fix would be a visit to a body shop with the knowledge on how to weld aluminum..

To answer your questions: https://jaguar.oempartsonline.com/v-...or-trim-fender
And yes, most junk yards charge 50% of list. The funny thing is, I rarely pay as much as MSRP.

Default Fender yes, sorry, must remember the translation…

Cheers guys.

I did ask the body shop dude, but his response was “should fit, but can’t guarantee it…” 🙄

I hit a few brick walls with the aluminium welding route.
(Who knew ally dust was explosive under 5 microns? 🤷‍♂️)

Managed to find and order a 2009 wing/fender for under £200. Decent condition, same base colour etc.

Cheaper to replace and touch-up than re-weld, respray etc.

We’ll see…

Yes, thank you 👍

We’ll see, refers to the condition ‘as described’.
