I have a 2008 Xk coupe and the defroster vent on the right side is cracked I called local Jag Dealer in palm beach and was told you have to buy the upper dash to replace the vents part is over 2500.00 I said for a piece of plastic that's prone to crack down in Sourhern heat unreal
So question does anyone know a good source for used jaguar parts I've tried Coventry west and strombergs but they don't have it

I need the driver's side piece, so if you find a set I will be happy to pay for half of it.

Can you remove it and repair the crack with either clear or black epoxy? Might not be absolutely perfect, but depending on where the crack is and your skill the repair might not be too noticeable.

 

I did glue it for now and then sanded and used a flat interior black looks ok but still very brittle I spoke with jaguar customer service again he's still trying as for now looking at salvage yards but no one has the parts so far seems unreal that the only way to get this is by getting the complete upper dash

 

Update from customer service the part is not available unless you buy the complete Facia panel they also will not give me any information on the supplier who makes the part so any one having the dash leather fixed be very carefull with the vents

 

Did you find a solution? I have an 09 XK and lost the passenger side defroster vent cover and am having the same problems as you finding a replacement part.

 

I do believe the discussion is about the long vents between the dash and the windshield to defrost the windshield, and not the round mid-vents.

 

There was as junk yard in Cali that had a set & he was asking around $200, this was about 2-3 months ago. I don't remember the name but I googled junk yards in Cali specializing in Jags & only 2-3 came up. I'm sure he still has them, you wont see it listed as a part for sale but if you email their customer service they will respond.

For anybody that has a 3D printer or has friend with one I have just uploaded the 3D models for the left and right dash vents for my 2009 XK.
The left vent only XK popped fell to the floor after I was careless pulling the sun shield from behind the steering wheel.
Pictures ae attached of the first prints which are in PETG and too shiny so I will be reprinting in ABSwhen I get a chance,
Thee are not exact reporidctions of the original as the vanes are flush to the same level as the brim whereas the originals are slightly recessed. This was necessary to make it simpler to 3D print, nd hardly noticeable. Should be less that $5 material.
