1) Heated Steering Wheel?
2) Electronic Folding Side Mirrors?

Also I am having issues with Bluetooth Syncing my Samsung S7 Active Phone. It says paired but it is not connected. Any advice?

Thank you
Sorry for the year-late reply :-). If its really a 2008 portfolio, Heated wheel yes. Electronic folding mirrors no. I beleive you can retrofit them fairly easily though.
Bluetooth comaptibility is a known problem with many phones from about 2009 onwards. Apple phones generally work much better than Android with our cars so switching to an Iphone may be one solution. Another option is to get a bluetooth module from a 2009-2013 XK or XKR. Ebay sometimes has them from wrecked cars, but make sure you really get the right one(s) though (I made a post here a long time ago about this that includes part numbers). My local Jag dealer claimed newer bluetooth modules aren't even plug-compatible but that's simply not true. It's just plug-and-play. It's located in the back of the trunk in a mini-rack that also contains the navigation DVD player.

Huh. Many many many others have found that iphones are notoriously poor at full connectivity to the X150, and that androids perform much more reliably.
I guess it depends on where you look to gather information.

The one time I tried an Android phone on my '07 XKR the contact list was just garbage and that issue was also reported by others. I don't know if that was sorted on later versions of Android but, as JustNiz says, iPhones seemed to work better on the earlier cars.

I have certainly experienced no issues with either my '07 or '10 XKR's with iPhones ranging from the 3G model to my current 8 Plus. I have seen other people have issues with both Android and iPhones so user experience may vary.

Yes, also bluetooth connectivity would randomly drop with my Samsung S3 and anything newer. I think it may be more of a Samsung than an Android problem as i recall some people with non-Saumsng Android phones weren't having any problems.

I found that installing a bluetooth module from 2009 XKR helped with both issues, My phone stays connected and still no luck with the full phonebook, but at least the "last 10 calls" lists now show proper contact names instead of garbage characters, meaning you can at least dial recent contacts from the car. It also displays cellphone signal and cellphone battery status bars now.

I have a 2008 XKR Portfolio that I purchased in June of 2018 with 41,000 miles. I have the dark interior and American walnut trim. I have driven it about 3K since purchase and continue to work on figuring our the gremlins. Removing fuse 19 was a game changer. The electronics are sketchy but the engine and drive train are amazing. I am retired and live in the mountains in Northwestern Montana. The car will join another on jack stands about seven months a year.

Here are a couple of pictures.

Welcome!
What problems have you had with the electronics? Mine has been great other than the known crap bluetooth compatibility, and the headunit sometimes locking up when you start the car, which is freaking annoying as you have to remove/reinsert the correct fuse in the panel behind the rear seats to get it back,

I got a real bargain on the car in that the center console did not work. It flickered on and off. The previous owner had spent over 3K with two Jaguar dealers and they finally gave up. I certainly did not buy it for the obsolete navigation system so I was content to just pull the fuses and put in the ear buds. When I got home and looked at all the records I found that the last owner was told the audio control module was not working so he found one somewhere and asked them to install it. It didn't work so they sourced one from Jaguar. The problem was the owner gave them the wrong module (C2P21596E) which is for the premium sound system with a single disc CD player instead of a (C2P221597E) module for a six disc changer. They are both housed in the same case. It didn't last long and a second Jaguar dealer had to replace it under warranty and, of course, put another wrong unit in it. It didn't work either and they gave up. I am now working with Jaguar to get the right part installed but it is a real pain. They have a policy with their dealers that, under warranty, they will only replace a part with another of the same part number. I think we have made everyone understand at this point. It is a good thing that I am retired. When I am depressed about it I just downshift to 4th at 75 and all is forgiven.

The 6-disc premium head unit is 7G9N-18C815-TA or -TB, same one is used in the XF and LR2, you'll find one on eBay for less than $150

I am really confused. Jaguar has installed a C2P21596E which I decode as an am/fm cd with premium sound, single disc. I am told that what I need is a C2P21597E am/fm w/premium sound, six disc. I am working with Jaguar Corporate is getting this change made. It appears that both units share the same case and Jaguar mistakenly installed the wrong unit. This must be more than just the CD player. I would appreciate any information you think useful to me. Thank you for answering my post.

I have a 2008 XKR Portfolio Coupe with the aluminum interior trim, and 20" Cremona wheels. It has 35,000 Kms (22,000 miles). An amazing car for road trips! No plans of ever selling it. I am in Vancouver BC Canada.

Default 2008 XKR Portfolio celestial black

I have a 2008 XKR Portfolio, came stock with the spun aluminum trim which I’ve changed out for the burl walnut. Has just under 40,000 miles on her and has a new convertible top, also changed the shifter knob to burl walnut to match the trim.

Default 2008 XKR Portfolio

I don't often use the forum, so if I've posted incorrectly, mea culpa.

I've had my 2008 XKR Portfolio for about a year, purchased from "lilfreddie" who posted early on this registry. It is a Celestial Black convertible with black interior and walnut trim, Cremona wheels, Alcon brakes. If I didn't know lilfreddie, I probably wouldn't have purchased it because it's too technical for me to work on, but he's an excellent mechanic and good friend.

The Portfolio is an awesome car - performance, luxury, sophistication, fun. I've owned several classics, but I'm getting older, health problems are creeping into the family, and it's time to let some things go. The Portfolio has "freed me" to let the classics go and still have fun in daily driving and car clubs.

I'm glad to see that you are enjoying your Portfolio. I agree that these are awesome. I've had my 08 Portfolio coupe for about eight years now. I have made several long road trips with it and I am totally impressed with the road manners of the car. It is one of 3 Jaguars that I have so it is used primarily for road trips.
This fall I will drive across Canada from Vancouver BC on the Pacific to the Gaspe Peninsula on the Atlantic, and back again. The trip will take more than 35 days. This car has been trouble free and is now approaching 48,000 Kilometres (29,000 miles) I am completely confident in making the 15,000 Kilometre trip.
My car has the spun aluminium trim rather than the veneer.
I have often thought of buying a convertible model, but to my knowledge, there is only one in Vancouver and the owner is not yet ready to sell.

Mmm pretty... I have a convertible but I do prefer the lines of the hard top.

I seriously believe our cars have all the makings of a true classic: Timelessly beautiful lines. Except for the supercars (XJ220 and CX-75), IMHO the old and new XKs are arguably still the prettiest Jags (by far) since the 60's, including compared to the F-type. Luxurious, great build quality, very reliable (especially the 4.2, according to 2 different Jag specialists), fast, practical, handling is amazing, feels special to drive. When I'm out in it, I still get nice comments from passers-by admiring it, maybe even more now than when the XK range was new, It boggles my mind why they haven't already become very collectable.

A few years back there was a rumour that Jaguar were working on a more upscale XK to compete (price-wise) with the likes of Aston Martin. If that ever got announced I'd bet our cars would suddenly get real traction with collectors.

Was wondering if there was a registry for the 2008 cars.

Anyways, 2008 XKR Portfolio Coupe. Celestial Black. Cremona wheels w/ Alcon brakes. ACC. Bought at 45k miles, now has 55k.

Undersize pulley, intercooler pump upgrade, mid muffler and resonator delete. Fuse 19 pulled. IPod docking retrofit.

2008 XKR Portfolio convertible, adaptive cruise, walnut dash trim - 80K+ Miles. Love this car. Also have 2003 XJR, and 1996 XJ12.
Recently experienced clogged duckbill - have not addressed as yet.

@DAWells23 , regarding the "clogged duckbill", if you haven't yet tried, close all of the vents and place the fan of Hi. The increased pressure in the system may force it open. If successful periodically do this. Once I learned about this method, I've been, periodically, doing this. So, far, so good.
