Sean - Did you go with a "custom cut" or find a combo from the available drop down menus that worked with this screen?
Kurt I just popped off the facia and measured the screen so I guess that's custom cut. They make it a mm smaller than the measurement you give them but the edges aren't visible with the facia on. I was prepared to do battle with it. It came with everything and I was done in 15 minutes - no bubbles.
Thank you for all the support. This Forum is truly a wondrous asset for us X150 enthusiasts/owners. I heard back from the supplier over night Wednesday/Thursday. There response was to ask for their specific order number which I supplied yesterday. No additional response yet. Installer is scheduled to go back at it tomorrow.
Well, I think we are finally on the way to a successful conclusion to this long sad tale of woe. After my exertion of considerable pressure on supplier Guangzhou Asvegen Electronic Technology Co., Ltd, and an additional phone call by my installer, we have succeeded in getting the password to the codes so that the necessary changes to the software can be made.
My installer advises that he should be finished some time Monday. Among the changes that are going to be made are the following: ensure that built-in backup camera functions with unit, heated steering wheel function, cooling of seats function, and (hopefully) TPMS function. And, yes the password seems to be working. I will share additional information via PM with those of you who have purchased the system upon successful installation in my vehicle.
My cheap OBD2 adapter is now
connected to the unit but in Torque it tells me there is no communication? Think I'll buy a
more expensive one and see if that works.:-)
Thanks
My new OBD2 won't even pair with the unit, it comes up on the unit but when I press link it fails!? Tested the new obd2 with my phone and works!?
Seems my bluetooth module is bad or something!?
Would also be good to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit.
LOL - agreed. The Celsius to Fahrenheit button works on the X250 as do the cooled seats. They have heated steering but they have to drill down in the vehicle settings to turn it on/ off - it's not on the main screen.
Our XK - Celsius to Fahrenheit option is there but does nothing when F is selected. We have heated steering wheel on the main screen but no cooled seats it appears.
There's a gent on the XF page (Dennis Black) doing some work with it (the XF) and he's indicated he can and will recode to get things right. He said he'd help us folks too but I think since he has an XF, that would be the priority.
Real progress has been made although we are not quite there yet. Temperature has been changed from Celsius to Fahrenheit, sound system works, controls on steering wheel function properly. One big issue remains HVAC controls DO NOT work. Cannot find where a Canbus hooks up. We are intent on getting a wiring diagram for the 2013 XKR Portfolio Pack Edition. The last six digits of my VIN are B49488. Any help would be appreciated. When we have successfully brought this to a close I will pass along the access codes to others who have purchased the system. Thank you in advance.
Thanks Sean, I have sent it on to my installer. It should be of inestimable help. I will let you know what happens. You are a testament to the benefits of this Forum. Regards, Ralph
In the hvac menu I can't turn on the AC button and I don't think it's engaged. Anybody else have this issue?
Also wonder what the auto button with the 5 dots in the lower right side does?

I don't think it's an issue other than the A/C light doesn't work Peter. The A/C does turn on when it's pressed. As near as I can tell, the AUTO feature on the left works with A/C and the AUTO feature near the eco button works with heat.
Temps here haven't been warm enough to confirm that for certain. Even if you watch the video, they jump right over that A/C button.
Like the OEM screen but why isn't AC lid when ECO is off?

Hope your right, cause strange it's not lid all the time til you press the ECO button? So your AC button is also "off"?
How do you mean the Auto button with 5dots(settings) is a heat feature?

I don't think it was ever programmed by the manufacturer. Watch the video demo. The A/C works, just doesn't light up. The Auto button on the left seems to control with A/C on

yes my A/C light doesn't light up either. I think it adjusts heat when in ECO mode but doesn't turn on the A/C. This is my best guess but it hasn't been hot enough for me to confirm
