2008 XKR portfolio
Hello,
Thinking of getting a 2008 XKR portfolio edition with 56K miles (the ad says XK XKR Base with Portfolio package). Its listed at ~$36k. Would like to get some advice on the price and problems I need to check for/discuss with the seller. I've been going through the forums and it seems the common problems are electrical and a couple of other issues like the AC condenser etc., It seems surprising the value falls so much despite minor issues - am I missing something in terms of regular maintenance costs or unexpected ones ?
Thanks for your responses.

First make sure it is a Portfolio should be Celestial Black have 20" Cremona Wheels ,Alcon Brakes w/Red Crescent Groves Caliper just some of the features. I have a 2008 XKR Portfolio with 45,000 miles and the only thing I had an issue was the ac drain and that just happened and seems to be an issue with all XK models up to 2008 cost me $700.00 other than that I have had no issues at all. Live in NJ and drove to Nashville and back and loved it I use it on any of my long trips.
Thanks for the quick response. The mileage is ~56K. I'll check regarding the portfolio edition. I was curious because the ad didn't mention "portfolio edition", but rather that it came with the portfolio package and wanted to make sure it was the same.
Even though I've only had my 2008 XKR Portfolio convertible for a little over a year, I haven't experienced any major problems (hope I don't jinx myself). I did install a new battery which got rid of a couple of electrical gremlins that started to show themselves. It now has 49k miles
It's not leaving the key in the car, it's failing to lock it that causes battery drain. If you don't lock it, the car stays in 'convenience mode' with many of the systems powered up, ready for you to get back in & drive it. That lasts for up to half an hour, and the car draws a lot of power.
