Default 2008 XKR Tires

Well ran through the Pirelli's in 10,500 miles, 19 inch Seams like a little
Premature, since I got about 14k to 15k on my 2002 and 2006 XKR's
But thats the way it goes, Must be the way my wife drives

Any opinions on a good replacement, other than Pirellis
Thanks

Hey Steve, i've been recommending the Falken FK452s and my newest set - Hancook V12 Evo, did a quick writeup about them here. Both are wearing the same rate, hancooks have been quieter long term though. Falkens seem to be a bit harder compound. Both are good values if you ask me.

I really like the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas. Awesome value for a great tire. Really cool tread too, and fantastic in the rain. I had them on my BMW 330 and loved them. As soon as I wear out my Pirelli's, I'm putting a set on the Jag.

I would recommend Falken FK 452 for fast and agressive driving, or if you are a normal driver who wants good traction no matter what the surface and no 100+ driving I would recomend ZE-512 0r ST-115 they have an agressive and high tread wear rating and come in Z,W and V ratings. I have them on my XK 8 stock 18" wheels but went to the FK 452 for my
19" rims.
A few years ago I was into Maseratis and sold and used Falkin ZE-512's and even ddrove 5 laps at Laguna Seca in my 1980 Merak SS at speeds ove 120 MPH and not a hint of a loss of taction even on the "Cork Screw" with 80 entering and 120+ on the exit. email me for more information. dspiper@comcast.net

I'd second the Hankooks but if price was not an object it's really hard to beat the Michelin PS2's on a lux/perf car. I keep going back to them on most of my cars I've yet to find a better tyre.

Thanks guys i'm leaning toward either the Michelin or the Falens, I've had good luck with both, on different types of cars

I got an 07 on Jag 20s. Its got 19k miles and tires haven't been replaced once yet but my front right just got a huge *** air bubble. Will cost $450 to replace apparently.

Should I just be looking at replacing all the wheels on this cat at this point?

if you've got 19k miles on all tires, more than likely the rear are toast. At the least, replace the front two together, but you might as well go new all around.

Yeah idk. I just emailed the dealership to ask. I was originally told in an uncertain manner that the tires were the originals.

Those Michelins sound pretty good. I need reliability since I drive to florida and back 1-2 times a year from MA. Though huge, bad *** wheels would be tight.

Damn it. Dealer was wrong.

Perelli P0 rosso directional. Front tire size 245/40/29 rears 275/35/19

I live in really cold weather (outside Boston) but I'll be moving in 4 months.

what are my best options here?

19*s, not 20s.

So I guess I can either buy new wheels or just get new 19s

Seems my only option for tommorow would be Falken, I think Ziex ZE-912. As good as pirelli?

Falken FK 452 *

Seems people in this thread like them. I guess I'll go for those tommorow. I'd have to kill myself to wait another 3 days

Hello,
I can get you the 452's delivered to your door in a couple days, if you can wait that long.

275-40-19 Falkin ZR rated FK-452 @ $200 to your door. These have a tread wear rating of 300, traction: AA and heat: A. These are NEW and NOT SECONDS.
Call me 615-944-2494 You will be happy with these tires.

I can get you the tires as listed above delivered to your door in 2 to 4 days. But why are you putting 275/35/19's on the back. The 275/40/19 is the same diameter as the 255/45/18 on the stock wheels, Like I said below the Falkin FK452 is ZR rated has a 300 tread wear rating and AA traction and A heat rating all for $200 a tire. I accept Pay Pal and doing this to help Jag owners. email me dspiper@comcast.net of call 615-944-2494. I neither make nor loose money on these, I just like to help people get quality tires . As the Italians say: "Your life depends on your tires".

I got the Falkens already but thx anyway

245/40/19 pirellis on front and 275/40/19 on back I believe. Might be 45 or 35 idk. Dealer said 35 but that seems like a typo.

Standard yeah?

That is great, I hope you didn't pay through the nose for them, some dealers like to charge all they can for them because of the cars they put them on. Look at the side of the tyre and check the size, it will say if it is a 35 or 40 profile.
Happy and safe motoring. Be sure to do a blog on what you think of the tyres, dry and wet. I have triede to break mine loose in a heavy rain but they stuck like glue.
