Default 2009 XKR Portfolio

My trunk latch will not close. I have reset battery and tried manually? Any hints on what I could try next?

There's a section in the workshop manual about aligning the liftgate - it's quite long, so I can't copy it here. No mention of dealing with failure to lock, though.

I assume you've tried lubricating the latch. it should be possible to make the latch move by sliding a screwdriver blade sideways up into the latch slot - I've seen this done to fool the car into thinking the liftgate is closed, to allow it to be locked with the liftgate open.
