2010+ xkr hard shifting manual
How does your xkr shift at full throttle , high rpm, hooligan mode?
Manual
sport mode
race mode
traction on or off
Full throttle shifting close to redline in 2-3 and 3-4 I am getting hard shifts occasionally. It feels like a bmw smg or Ferrari f1 slamming into gear, which is odd for an automatic. it happens about 50% of the time - other times it’s smooth as butter (what I would expect from a zf auto)
does not seem to happen at lower rpms (shifting below 5k)
Recently did transmission mount which did not seem to solve this issue
trans fluid flush is next on the list

Your Next on the List would have been my First on the List. So you're on the right track. Sort of. A 'flush' really isn't necessary, and sometimes dangerous. Just a pan and filter replacement and top off with fresh fluid. Occasionally a flush can wake up particulates inside the transmission and they can cause problems. I've seen it happen at least a few times.

yes not a full flush just a drain and filter change
so assuming everyone else’s “normal” transmission shifts like butter at high revs/full throttle?
For me, quick and snappy and not harsh at all. How many KMs on your box? If your gearbox has low mileage then I wouldn't be worried about swapping all the fluid. It'd be high mileage boxes (150,000 km plus) where all the clutch material in the fluid is probably keeping it going which would be the problem and risk.

We aren’t taking ours apart and using freshly honed parts. So the parts in there will gladly give up little pieces of metal if given the chance.
Pan, filter and top off.
