Default 2010 XKR Key Fob Programming

I am a 30+ year Jag owner who just bought a 2010 XKR. The car came with only one fob. I bought the new correct fob on eBay, but need the instructions on programming. Everything I can find applies only to the 97-06 models. Is the procedure for a 2010 different? Many thanks.

I am afraid you have to take it to the dealer or an indy with the right equipment to program the later model smartkeys.

Went through this myself on my 07. Not something you can do yourself.
Sorry....

Besides, it is best to clear out past fobs (like the one that is missing) from the cars system, so the person still holding on to it cant use it.
