Dear Forum,
I had posted a few questions in regards to using a Madoec CarPlay screen which is attached to an arm and then suction cupped to the windshield. I haven't found a system that can be installed within the OEM infotainment center without some programming and a toggle button to turn CarPlay on. This option does very well as I have no exposed wires- they are hidden under the front lip of the headliner(driver side).. It then follows down the A-post to the OBD port which I can switch to parking surveillance mode. I then have a wire that is hidden along the left side headliner to the hatch where the reverse camera is mounted. Within the camera wire there is a red wire that is at a junction point and that wire is to be attached to the reverse light to turn the back up screen on when the car is in reverse.
I downloaded the work manuals along with the electrical schematic for the XK from 2010-2015. I've added what I found as to be the wire I need to tap into noted in picture clip.
The wire is indicated as the Orange with green stripe correct?
Im wondering if that wire can be found in the left side of the boot/hatch trunk where there is a panel that's vented. This is where you can jump your car as there is a lead to the battery as well.
Thak you all for your time and patience.
You're complicating it running all the way to the back. CA023/04 is the same connector in the AUX box, which you could run under the center console to the OBD port, but yes you are correct. TL (Tail light) connector 014/ pin 1 should be correct.

You've not seen the Mr12Volt system posted in a long popular thread? I don't have one, but by all my reading they seem to be pretty well integrated.
Personally, I'd go without anything at all before I'd plaster any stickum-up doohickey anywhere.
