I had silver which showed off the curves of the car very nicely and was super easy to look after, but red was the best in the 2011 plus models IMO. There is a reason that IRR was the prominent colour in the marketing of the 2011 facelift. I looked to change my pre-facelift 2011 model for a IRR post facelift model but the $$ were too much for getting essentially the same car, but when I went to the f type I got IRR and the same for my wife's XE. IRR is very easy to look after and doesnt show watermarks or dust as much as darker colours, I can usually get a month or so between washes. Pretty much every time I wash the car and take it out, someone takes a photo or video or I get the thumbs up, or someone wanders over to talk about it. Occasionally they are female. I put that down mainly to the colour.

That said, I think it is harder for the dealers to sell IRR as it is a bit "edgy" for conservatives. I'm not complaining though as I got quite a bit off sticker for mine and I've only seen one other red one, and one red XKR (and another XKR-S in IRR) each of which were beautiful.

As others have said, "If you're buying an XKR and worried about resale value, you're making the wrong decision." I think the XKR looks stunning in red, and I have an X100 convertible in Carnival Red, and an X150 coupe in silver. I didn't really want silver (although it rarely looks dirty in that color), but one came along that I couldn't turn down (especially when I got it with a new engine). Red is the best color for sports or GT cars, I've got a litter of them: red '72 De Tomaso Pantera, deep red '78 Datsun 280Z, Carnival red 2002 XKR. Go ahead, take the plunge!

I drive a silver 13 XKR vert that I "stole" new in 2/16 for about 57% of list. Was it my favorite color? No, but it was one of three available in the U S at that point, the others being different types of black. Since I have had it for 2.5 years and 27k miles the color has grown on me, especially freshly washed and/or waxed.

I took a look at the listing for your IRR coupe and need to tell you that the front seats are not the performance seats which might be better for you anyway. Why, because they are probably ventilated and are quite grippy when properly adjusted. The performance seats are not ventilated.

Wow Jaguar Nashville, had a 2012 Black XK R with Dynamic Pack and 23k miles. I spotted it on autotrader last night.
Contacted them this morning, the car was traded in Saturday, dealer closed Sunday and the car was sold Monday morning!

Just my luck! The search continues!
