Default 2012 XK Headlight LED Daytime Riding Light Strip is Off

So my 2012 XK Passenger Headlight LED Daytime Riding Light Strip is off. I've located a used headlight w/o the Adaptive Headlight feature, however they want $1,650 for it. Quite expensive.
I've also been told that there is a module or Ballast that is located on the underside of the headlight that controls the LED strip in the headlight.
Does anyone have some insider information on this? I see that they're made by a company in Germany named OSRAM and that they can be purchased separately online.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
