Default 2012 XKR Sports seats.

The new sports seats in a new XKR are heated and cooled. I can find the heater but nothing on the cool side. Anyone have these? I'm I missing something?

Unless they have changed the spec I don't think the Sports seats or the Performance seats are cooled, only the Luxury seats (which seem to be standard on the XKR)

Sports seats aren't cooled.

Yeah, that was a deal killer for the Performance seats for me--absolutely had to have the cooled seats in the Houston heat. They work fantastic.

I'm jealous. Not so much use for a cooled seat in Manchester.

A few days after I got my car, I got in the car and started it up and heard a weird sound that was coming from behind the drivers seat. It sounded like a loud fan....essentially white noise. I couldn't figure out what it was, so I got out of the car and pulled the seat forward and stuck my head into the back. Turns out the sound was coming from the speaker on the back of the drivers seat, even though the audio system was off. Ultimately, I figured out that the source of the sound was the cooling system in the seat. When it's set to "high," that sound is very noticeable. I tested it on the passenger side, and the same thing occurs, so I'm assuming that's just how it works. So, unless I'm faced with some very intense heat, I don't plan on having the seat cooling system on high. The sound isn't noticeable on the other two settings

That's interesting. I've had the seat cooling on high on both my XJ and XKR and haven't noticed any noise.

I guess I should take it over to the dealer and ask them about it. It's very noticeable to me. It's like the sound of a fan, and it comes out of the speaker on the back of the seat.
